Q. How can I set up THERS Mail to receive emails using the default Mail app on Mac?
A. Please refer to the steps below.
*The Mail app on macOS Sierra, High Sierra, or earlier does not support multi-factor authentication (MFA). We recommend updating your OS or using Outlook as an alternative.
- Open the Mail app on your Mac.
- Choose "Microsoft Exchange" from the list of account types, then click "Continue".
- Enter your name and THERS account (e.g., ab.12c.3456@f.thers.ac.jp, @s.thers.ac.jp, @a.thers.ac.jp), then click "Sign In".
- Click "Sign In".
- Please enter your THERS account password and verify your identity using multi-factor authentication (MFA).
- When the "Requested Permissions" screen appears, click "Accept"
- Click "Done" to complete the setup!
【If you want to change the sender address to your THERS email address】
- From the menu bar, click "Mail" and then select "Settings".
- From the "Accounts" > "Account Information” screen, click "Email Address" > "Edit Email Addresses…".
- Click the "＋" button, then add your THERS email address (e.g., tokai.taro.x9@mail.f.thers.ac.jp, @s.gifu-u.ac.jp, @s.mail.nagoya-u.ac.jp, @mail.a.thers.ac.jp) in the "Email Address" field. After that, click "OK".
*To delete an address, select the one you want to remove and click the "−" button.
