Q. I forgot my password. How can I reset it myself?
A. To reset the password, please follow the steps below:
- Access https://aka.ms/sspr/.
- When "Get back into your account" appears, enter your THERS account in "Email or Username", type the characters shown in the image, and click "Next".
- If the message "You can't reset your password because you haven't registered for password reset" appears, it means the required authentication methods have not been set up. At least two authentication methods must be registered to reset the password.
In this case, the password cannot be changed by the user. Please request a password reset via the THERS Account Help Center Contact Form.

- In "Verification step 1", select the first contact method for identity verification.
The registered authentication methods (multi-factor authentication) will be displayed. Select one and follow the on-screen instructions to enter the required information.- Email my alternate email
The registered email address will be partially masked with asterisks (*) when displayed. - Text my mobile phone
The registered mobile phone number will be partially masked with asterisks (*) when displayed. - Call my mobile phone
The registered mobile phone number will be partially masked with asterisks (*) when displayed. - Approve a notification on my authenticator app
A notification will be sent to the registered authentication app (such as Microsoft Authenticator or Google Authenticator). - Enter a code from my authenticator app
Launch the registered authentication app (such as Microsoft Authenticator or Google Authenticator), and enter the verification code (one-time password) displayed.
- Email my alternate email
- In "Verification step 2", select the second contact method for identity verification.
The authentication method selected in "Verification step 1" will not appear as an option. Please select one of the displayed methods and follow the on-screen instructions.
- In "choose a new password", enter your new password in both "Enter new password" and "Confirm new password" fields, then click "Finish".
- If the message "Unfortunately, your password contains a word, phrase, or pattern that makes it easily guessable. Please try again with a different password." appears, please refer to "About Our Password Policy" and enter a password that meets the requirements.
- If the message "Unfortunately, your password contains a word, phrase, or pattern that makes it easily guessable. Please try again with a different password." appears, please refer to "About Our Password Policy" and enter a password that meets the requirements.
- Password reset is complete.
- Try signing in to the Microsoft 365 Copilot Home page using your new password.
