Request to discontinue the legacy version of Microsoft Whiteboard and migrate to the OneDrive version. (Action required by August 22, 2026)
The legacy version of Microsoft Whiteboard is scheduled to be retired on September 5, 2026.
If you are using the legacy version of Whiteboard, please complete the migration to the OneDrive version by August 22, 2026.
Please note that any Whiteboard that was not migrated will be deleted and cannot be restored later.

* We have provided individual guidance to the relevant persons by THERS email on August 5–6, 2026.
What we would like you to address
- If you are using the legacy version of Whiteboard, please migrate to the OneDrive version by August 22, 2026, the date when provision of the migration tool ends.
* Whiteboards that are not migrated will be deleted on September 5, 2026. - After September 14, 2026, please use Whiteboard from Microsoft Teams instead of the Whiteboard app.
Response method
When you open Microsoft Whiteboard, if the target whiteboard exists, the migration process will start automatically.
After the migration, data will be saved in the "Migration" folder within the "Whiteboards" folder in OneDrive.
