Q. When setting up a new computer for the first time and trying to configure a THERS account for Windows login, after approving multi-factor authentication, an error appears stating, "This feature is not supported. Contact your system administrator with error code 80180014".
A. It is not possible to set up a THERS account using a standard Windows user account.
*Except for administrative devices managed by Gifu University's Intune.
Since a THERS account is intended for organizational use, creating a Windows user with it will not grant administrator rights, and you won't be able to install software by yourself.
There are two types of Microsoft accounts.

Microsoft account
Microsoft accounts are for personal use and can be created for free.

Microsoft work or school account
Microsoft work or school accounts are Microsoft 365 accounts issued by your organization.
A THERS account is a Microsoft work or school account, so the Microsoft services used with a THERS account are also intended for work or school use.
