Q. We would like to collaborate with organizations outside our institution using Microsoft Teams. Is it possible to add accounts from external organizations to chats or teams?
A. Chatting with users outside the organization is permitted. However, for security reasons, external users cannot be added to teams within the THERS tenant.
Users in the THERS tenant can join another organization’s Teams as guests, provided the destination organization's policies allow it.
Also, Teams meetings can be joined by users from outside the institution by sharing the meeting URL with participants.
