Q. The Authenticator app was accidentally deleted. Please provide instructions for recovery.
A. If a phone number is registered as a verification method, it is possible to sign in via SMS authentication code or phone call.
- Enter the THERS account and password on the Microsoft sign-in form.
- On the screen prompting for multi-factor authentication after input, click "I can't use my Microsoft Authenticator app right now".
- If other authentication methods are available, please select either "Text" or "Call".
- If "Text" is selected, enter the authentication code received via SMS to sign in to Microsoft 365 Copilot.
- If "Call" is selected, an automated voice call will be made. Follow the voice instructions to complete the sign-in.
- After signing in, please refer to the article below and reconfigure the Microsoft Authenticator app by yourself.
