Q. I can't install the Microsoft 365 Copilot Office apps from the Microsoft 365 Copilot Home.
The following message is displayed: "You currently have not been assigned an office license that includes the office desktop apps. Contact your admin for more information about how to get Office for your organization."
A. Please check your license.
*From January 2025, the name "Microsoft 365" was changed to "Microsoft 365 Copilot".

If your license includes "A1", you cannot use the Microsoft 365 Copilot desktop apps.
Students can use the Microsoft 365 Copilot desktop apps.
Newly hired faculty and staff can install the desktop apps on or after their official hire date, so please take note.
