How to create a Windows local account.

Q. How do I create a local account on Windows?

A. Please refer to the steps below.

1.  Click the "Windows Start" button, then choose "Settings (gear)" > "Accounts".
    
2.  On the "Accounts" screen, verify that the account you are currently signed in with is "Administrator".
   *If you are not an Administrator, you cannot create a local account. Please sign in with an administrator account.
   
    
3.  In "Account settings", click "Other users".
   
    
4. Click "Add account" displayed to the right of "Add other user".
   
    
5. On the "How will this person sign in?" screen, click "I don't have this person's sign-in information".
   
    
6.  On the "Create account" screen, click "Add a user without a Microsoft account".
   
    
7.  On the "Create a user for this PC" screen, enter your desired username in "Who's going to use this PC?" and your chosen password in "Make it secure".
   
    
8.  In "In case you forget your password", enter three security questions and their answers, then click "Next".
   
    
9.  When the local account you created appears, the setup is complete.
